Joseph Kenneth Limes, Jr. passed from this life into the waiting arms of his savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Joe was born in Iola, Kansas to Joseph Kenneth Limes Sr. and Emma Anne Rebman Limes. He was a proud Mechanical Engineering graduate of Kansas University and loved watching high school and Jayhawk basketball in the winter and St. Louis Cardinal baseball in the spring. He also received a Juris Doctorate from University of Tulsa. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. While working in Tulsa, he met Lillian Elizabeth Fisher and they married on May 30, 1957. While they had opportunities to live in Denver and Washington D.C., they spent most of their married days in Tulsa raising their four children: Kenny, Andy, Danny and Christy. Joe worked as an engineer for many companies, but retired from the City of Tulsa water department. He gave of his time serving as an usher and teacher at church and delivering Meals on Wheels to the elderly. They enjoyed many friends, playing bridge, and were involved at Asbury United Methodist Church for over 40 years. During their 60 years of marriage, Joe and Beth were blessed by their four children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Joe is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as his siblings, Jim Limes and Alma VanderWoude.

Services will be held at Asbury United Methodist Chapel on Friday the 22nd of March at 2 pm with a reception following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Asbury United Methodist Children's Ministry or Meals on Wheels.
