Evelyn Virginia Shirley (nee Russell), a resident of Union Township, passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born on September 2, 1931, in LaFollette, TN, to the late Sampson and Myrtle Russell. She was survived by her husband, one son, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two brothers. In addition to her parents and son Paul Hicks, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Ben Burton., whom she married 2 June 1972 in Clermont Co., OH.

Evelyn enjoyed cooking and being with her family. She also liked to travel and going to live shows. Most of all Evelyn loved Jesus and she faithfully attended and supported her church.
