The son of William and Emily Jane (nee Wadey) of Whitenwick Cottage and then Croucher's Cottage, Partridge Green.



Enlisted in Horsham.

He is one of only two members of the regiment buried there and is one of the last regimental casualties of the war.

He is also commemorated on the West Grinstead and Partridge Green War Memorials.
