Carl J. Ferrazza, 80, of Yorktown Heights, NY died of natural causes Nov. 15, 2000 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. Born in Cleveland, he began his motion picture career working for various theaters, including the Loews chain. In 1959, he was appointed Midwest field representative for Universal Pictures. In 1968, he moved to United Artist Pictures as vice president of field operations. Mr. Ferrazza was the former vice president of field activities and national promotion for Orion Pictures. As a 46 year veteran of the film industry, the longtime publicist was popular with producers, personalities and press. He was a pioneer in organizing and was an active voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. Mr. Ferrazza was a past trustee of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He is survived by his wife Nina, son Mark of Chicago, IL, brothers Daniel of Cleveland, OH, and Henry of Dayton, OH. He is predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Olli. A mass was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment followed at Rose Hills Memorial Park. Clark Funeral Home.
