Abel W. Hollinger, 88, formerly of Lebanon, died Wednesday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, after a lingering illness. He was residing with his daughter at 3 Juniper Drive, Mechanicsburg. A retired, self-employed salesman, he was the husband of Ada S. Dohner Hollinger. Born in Rapho Township, he was a son of the late Hiram and Sarah Witmer Hollinger. He was a member of the Lebanon Church of the Brethren and the Travelers Protective Association, Post E, Lebanon. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, June E., wife of Warren W. Meck, with whom he resided; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy, Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews. [Lancaster News, Lancaster, Pa., October 1983]
