Lucy Catherine (McQuitty) McArthur left her earthly home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She has gone to join her loved ones, husband Russell McArthur, daughter Julie McArthur Clark, and her seven older siblings and their parents in heaven.

Lucy Catherine was born October 17, 1926, to William and Lucy Hazard McQuitty in Blairstown, MO. She later attended college in Warrensburg, MO, where she received teacher training. While at college, she met Russell Hugh McArthur who had returned from his deployment in the Army Air Corps during World War II. They were married September 25, 1948, and soon settled in Independence, MO.

Catherine is survived by her son John McArthur (Debra), daughter Joyce McArthur Richards (Ken), son-in-law David Clark; grandchildren Alan McArthur (Lindsey), April McArthur (Kenton Wheeler), Daniel Richards (Sara), Jacob Richards (Rikki), Sarah Vogel (Bill), Stephanie Clark, and Jim Clark (Katelyn Swanson); and great-grandchildren Jack Richards, Hank Richards, Dean Richards, Levi Vogel, Savannah Vogel, Kolten Eichinger and Easton Boyer.
