BARRY DEAN STERNER

Wellsville - Barry D. Sterner, 82, entered into rest Monday, April 17, 2023 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. He was born October 14, 1940 in York, a son of the late George H. and Edna C. (Masenheimer) Sterner.

Barry was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School (1958) and Kutztown State College, where he majored in Art Education. He retired from teaching at the Dover Area School District, and had been a resident artist at Millersville University. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing his interests with others.

Barry is survived by his sister Patricia Sullivan, his brother Jerry Sterner (Jane); and nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by siblings Doris Lau, George Sterner, Jr, Richard Sterner, Audrey Summers, Jane Fissel, Shirley Barbaretta, and Fay Hale.

The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., West York, is assisting the family. At Barry's request, there will be no services.
