F. Sidney Burt, a former resident of Portland, died in a Seaside hospital on Tuesday. He was 81.
Mr. Burt was retired from Dant & Russell, Inc., a lumber importer. A resident of Portland from 1912 to 1971, he was born in Sparta, Ga., on May 12, 1891.
Survivors are his wife, Helen H., Portland; two daughters, Agnes Burt Russfield, Boston, Mass., and Mrs. W. G. Johnston, Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in J. P. Finley & Son funeral home with private entombment in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon Historical Society.
