SCHULZ, Oliver G. "Dutch" - Age 81, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1922 in Winnebago Co, WI, to Ernest and Mary Schulz. On July 5, 1947 he married his beloved Joan with whom he shared 56 wonderful years. Joan preceded him in death this past May. Oliver proudly served our country in WWII as a member of the U.S. Army. Following the war, he was associated with many military organizations which include V.F.W. of Linden, American Legion of Swartz Creek, Arrowhead Veterans' Club, the Dads of Foreign Service Veterans, and the Fenton Chapter of the Military Order of Cooties. Oliver was especially proud, serving as Past President of the V.F.W. of Linden. He is survived by: son, Michael and wife Laura; son, Steven and wife Lori; daughter, Sandra Wood; daughter, Catherine Anderson and husband Timothy; son, Daniel and wife Paula; son, Donald. Oliver is also survived by sister, Beatrice Davis. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Oliver was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur and Frank. A service of Remembrance will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Reigle Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, Pastor Walt Reynolds officiating. Memorial contribution's may be made, in Dutch's name, to the VA Hospital of your choice.
