He travelled all the way to Omagh to enlist and judging from his low number he was an early enlistment. Unfortunately he died of illness before being posted abroad.
He was the son of Mr. Patrick ROBINSON (a local schoolteacher from Co. Tyrone) and Mrs. Catherine ROBINSON, a seamstress of Tullynavin, Redcastle, County Donegal, Ireland. He had at least two brothers, Barney ROBINSON and Patrick ROBINSON. He was an uncle of John LYNCH of Moville.
