WILLIAM A. MUMPER
William A. Mumper, 85, of Mechanicsburg died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
He was born Dec. 21, 1922 in New Germantown to the late William A. and Pauline (Gring) Mumper.
He retired from MSPCC, CACI and the 28th Division Pennsylvania National Guard; an Army veteran of World War II, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star and a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge-, and a life member of the Mechanicsburg Club and a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg, and American Legion Post 109 and VFW Post 6704, both of Mechanicsburg.
He was the widower of Bonnie R. Mumper.
Surviving are two daughters, Edwina S. Cotsalas of Columbia, S.C., and Bonita L. Martell of Mechanicsburg; a son, Stephen A. of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Wanda Reisinger of Millerstown and Rae Carlin of New Germantown; a brother, Ronald Mumper of New Germantown; a companion, Stephanie Perloski of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 11 in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Leslie P. Towsey officiating. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dementia Unit, 375 Claremont Drive, Carlisle 17013.

Laddie was the son of William Albert (1892-1960) and Pauline Ladelle (Gring) (1899-1985) Mumper. His siblings were; Wanda C., Ronald K., Rae E., Benjamin R. (1918-2006), and Wilda A. (1929-1999). His wife was Bonnie Irene (Robinson) 1926-1995.
