Ruth Irene Brown Cloninger, age 78, of Kings Mountain and formerly of Lincolnton, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cloninger was born September 21, 1944, in Lincoln County, to the late Troy William Brown and Rosie Alice Lutz Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Ray Cloninger; and two sons, Tony DiStasio and James Erik DiStasio. She was retired from the Lincoln County School System.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Christian DiStasio and Satavia McRae (Brandon); and three great-grandchildren, Joey, Dino, and Lily.
