Born December 21, 1931 in Taylorsville, Utah, son of Floyd George and Lettie Elizabeth Todd Rupp. Married the love of his life, Dixie Weight, May 7, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Active in the LDS Church, having served as a Bishop, Stake High Councilor and Stake President. Served as Sealer at the Jordan River Temple and as Stake Patriarch. He was grateful to serve his country as a Marine in the Korean War. Served his community for 29 years on the Board of the Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District. Spending time with his family and serving in the church were the most important things in his life. He also enjoyed boating and water skiing. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and example to all.
Survived by wife, Dixie; five sons: Todd (Nancy), Randy (RoAnn), Scott (Roberta), Jeff and Bradley (Audrey); 13 grandchildren: Kimberly, Krista, Kara, AmyAnn (Brooks Taylor), Emily (Jason Sessions), Elizabeth, Robert (Jesika), Benjamin, Rachel, Brittany, Megan, Lindsay and Sierra; brother Wallace George Rupp; two sisters, Jerolyn John and Joanne Gehring.
Funeral Services will be held Sat., March 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Taylorsville 20th Ward Chapel, 3120 W. 4700 S. A Viewing will be held Fri., 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Sat. at the Church prior to Funeral Services, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
