Anchorage resident Jennifer Elena Jacobsen, 27, was shot and killed Feb. 18, 2008, in Anchorage.
Jennifer was born Jan. 6, 1981, in Anchorage to James Jacobsen and Darlene Engebretson-Stemp. She attended West High School and worked in the corporate cleaning and restaurant industry.
Jennifer loved animals, cruising in her truck, hanging out with friends, playing pool, doing crafts, listening to all types of music, going to Chitina and going out to eat.
Her family wrote that "Jenn" was a sweet, kind and gentle-hearted daughter and sister who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed more than they can express.
Jennifer is survived by her father, James Jacobsen of Alaska; mother, Darlene Engebretson-Stemp of Alaska; twin sister, Jessica Gilbert of Alaska; sister, Julie Jacobsen of Alaska; brother, John P. Jacobsen of New Mexico; nephews, Christopher Gilbert and Adam Hosman of Alaska; stepfather, Marc Stemp of Alaska; stepbrother, Andy Stemp of Alaska; sister-in-law, Jennifer Jacobsen of New Mexico; nephew, Gregory Jacobsen of New Mexico; sister, Sharlinda Spettel of Florida; brother, Karl Jackson of Florida; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and other family members throughout Alaska and the Lower 48.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Jacobsen and grandmother and grandfather Engebretson.
