Paul Owen "Butch" LeJeune
April 15, 1954 - April 8, 2023

Oberlin- Funeral service for Paul Owen "Butch" LeJeune, 68, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Pradeep Gali will officiate. Burial will follow at Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.



The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ardoin/ Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin from 8 a.m. until time of service.



Paul, affectionately known as "Butch", was a lifelong resident of Oberlin. When he was growing up, he and his friends spent lots of time on the Calcasieu River playing on the banks and sandbars of the river. Butch was a 1973 graduate of Oberlin High School. He worked in banking for many years and was retired from Coushatta Casino Resort. His passion was L.S.U. football. He also enjoyed deer hunting with friends and he collected comic books and coins. Butch was a member of the Oberlin Lions Club and was a friend to all. He was honored to be godfather to Holly LeJeune Lemoine and Kurt Hodgeson. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.



Those left to cherish Butch's memory include his two brothers, Warren LeJeune of Columbus, Georgia and Justin LeJeune and wife, Tina of Lake Charles; two sisters, Shelia Zeringue and husband, Rock of Folsom and Barbara Shamsie and husband, Dan of Lake Charles; five nieces, Allison LeJeune, Lori Crow, Danielle Takcs, Alyssa Schwartzenburg, and Holly LeJeune Lemoine; and three nephews, Sean Zeringue, Jacob LeJeune, and Jordan Schwartzenburg. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Willie Mae (Darbonne) LeJeune.



Those honored to serve as pallbearers for Butch's service include Jacob LeJeune, Kaybrin Lemoine, Chassie Marcantel, and Craig LeJeune.



The LeJeune family would like to extend special thanks to Grand Cove Nursing Home of Lake Charles and Brighton Bridge Hospice for all their love and compassion shown to Butch.
