Rodman — Alvin M. Bisig, 79, Plank Road, Town of Rodman, died at his home at 1 p.m. Monday following a long illness.

The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Burial will be. in Fairview Cemetery, Rodman.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

He is survived by two sons, Alvin J. and Alan W., Rodman; three daughters, Mrs. Lionel (Lois) Hayes, Barnes Corners, Mrs. William (Loris) Henderson and Mrs. Robert (Fern) Farquhar, both of Watertown; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie LaGrosse, Adams Center, and Mrs. Helen McCaffery, Rochester; six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. A sister, three brothers and a grandchild died before him.

Born Oct 11, 1896, in the Town of Diamond, son of Joseph and Eva Piddock Bisig, he attended Waterville Schools and operated a farm near Rodman. He was employed 21 years at the Orrin Heath Cheese Factory, Rodman, and worked 15 years for Farquhar Construction Co., retiring in 1967.

He married Josephine Mastin May 5, 1920 In Watertown at the Central Church of Christ, with Rev. C. A. Hatfield, officiating. She died Oct. 27, 1953, at the age of 53 years.

He was a former member of the Church of Christ Watertown.
