Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda McCormick, 63, of Monterey, were conducted Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Bob Keich and Rev. Tex Boles officiating. Burial was in Mayland Cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. McCormick died Friday, Jan. 11 at Cumberland County Medical Center in Crossville. She had formerly owned and operated several restaurants in the Monterey area and had worked in local factories. She was also a homemaker and attended Monterey Second Freewill Baptist Church.
Born January 24, 1938, in Mayland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Evelyn (Phillips) Henry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Carl Henry.
Survivors include her husband, Buster McCormick, Monterey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Myra and Terry Bowman, Monterey, and Tracie and Mike Engle, Cookeville; four sisters, Joyce Henry and Debbie Henry, both of Nashville, Phyllis Grimsley, Cookeville, and Sybil Stewart, Algood; and four grandchildren, Dustin, Amber, Mason, and Landon.
