Judy Montgomery, 58, of Flint Street, Shelby, died Wednesday evening, March 5, 2008 at her home.

Judy was born June 7, 1949 in Peru, Indiana. She was the daughter of Leo and Louise Westfall. After high school, Judith attended beautician school and spent most of her life in southern Indiana. On April 21, 1971 she married James Montgomery, who survives her.

For the past twenty years she lived in Shelby and dearly loved doting on all of her grandchildren. She excelled at cooking up the comfort foods. Her fried pork chops and chicken, potato soup, mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and sausage gravy and biscuits will never be duplicated.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Leona Davidson of Gallipolis, Lynnette Feagin of Shelby, Patrick Walker of Auburn, Indiana, Raymond and Lisa Montgomery of Mansfield, Jamie and Robert Spillman of West Point, Tennessee, and James R. Montgomery of Mansfield; 16 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Werner Funeral Services, 175 W. 3rd Street, Mansfield. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe McGlone officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Plymouth.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Judith L. Montgomery Memorial Fund in care of Werner Funeral Services.
