Mrs. Lohr died Saturday, Mar. 8, 2008, at Sterling House in Palestine. She was born Aug. 12, 1918 in Houston County to Joseph Enoch and Mary Jane Parker Whitaker.
Mrs. Lohr was a housewife and a member of Slocum Union Church. She loved fishing and playing 42. She loved her church and church family.
Mrs. Lohr was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. Lohr; daughter, Linda Kay Smith; sister, Flois Alford; brothers, Melvin L. Whitaker and Delton Whitaker.
She is survived by granddaughter, Elissa Ann New; nephew, David Thompson of California; great-nephew and great-niece, Patrick and Cindy Thompson of Elkhart; and brother-in-law, Virgil Alford of Elkhart.
