Funeral services for Stella Ford Austin are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday at Highway Baptist Church. Rev. Cal Hunter is set to officiate. Burial is to follow in Little Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service.

Austin died Wednesday, September 25, 2002 in Ada at the age of 73. She was born November 17, 1928 in Nogo, Arkansas to Tom and Bertha Rains Ford.

She married Allen Austin on July 20, 1946 in Lost Corner, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1997.

Austin and her husband moved to Seminole County two days after their wedding and continued to live in the Little and Strother area the rest of their lives. She was a cook for the Strother Public Schools and helped farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son and one brother, Elson Ford.

Austin is survived by four brothers, Ollison Ford and Lewie Ford, both of Russellville, Arkansas, Loy Ford of Pelsor, Arkansas and Troy Ford of Heavner; four sisters, Bonnie Bridges of Clarksville, Arkansas, Jean Ragland of Atkins, Arkansas and Ava Smith and Rosie Collins, both of Russellville, Arkansas and her caregiver, Jewel Roach of Cromwell.

Casket bearers are Jimmy Williams, Cecil Smith, Kenneth Hester, Dewayne Middleton, Paul Ford and Doug Ford.
