Graveside Services Here Tuesday for Fred Shepard
Fred S. Shepard, 87, of Galesburg, passed away Saturday, January 6, 1962, at Battle Creek. - Mr. Shepard was born January 24, 1874, at Milan to Moses and Rachel Young Shepard. Mr. Shepard, a retired farmer moved to Galesburg from Kalkaska, about twenty years ago. His wife, Lottie, preceded him in death in 1959. - Surviving are two sons, Howard of Galesburg, and Raymond of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Pommerenck, of Galesburg, and four grandchildren. - Funeral services were held from the Burk and Hoag Funeral Home at Galesburg on Monday, January 8, 1962, with the Rev. Wesley C. Oldt officiating. Gravesides were held Tuesday, January 9, 1962, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska, Michigan. - Leader and Kalkaskian, January 11, 1962.
