Billy Joe Adams, 62, died Sunday in Tulsa.

Mr. Adams was born March 16, 1937, in Paden, Oklahoma, the son of Carney and Bertha Capps Adams. He had been a resident of Paden for one year.

Previously, he lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 34 years where he worked for the Army Corp of Engineers. He married Edith Martin on October 15, 1955 in Paden and was a member of the Burnett Mission Holiness Church.

Preceding him in death were his father and one brother, Jerry Lewis Adams.

Surviving are his wife, Edith Adams of the home, mother, Bertha Adams of Paden, two sons and daughters-in-law, Casey Ray Adams of Anchorage, Alaska and Ronald J. and Judy Adams of Anchorage, Alaska, one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Morris Gamble of Anchorage, one brother and sister-in-law, Charles E. and Ruby Adams of Paden, Oklahoma, one sister, Darlene A. Adams of Paden, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Burial will follow in the Paden Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
