We have no death date, but he most likely died in Livingston County, Missouri about 1902 and was buried in this cemetery where his wife, Margaret, and her second husband, (Daniel Wesley's younger brother, John J. Singleton) were later buried. Daniel probably died between 1900 and 1907, when Margaret remarried. The Chillicothe newspaper reported in Feb 1902 that he was sick, as were a number of people in the Bedford area.

His parents were Daniel H. Singleton and Elizabeth McDaniel Singleton. He and Margaret had five children: Elva L., Grace, Lucy J., Harry M., and Edna.

In the 1900 census, his name was listed as "Wesley".
