Stan was born on October 18, 1942, in Coleman, Texas to Jesse and Hallie Miller. He was the youngest of 6 children. He was born on a Saturday night in his Aunt Nib's apartment that was located above the Merchant's Freight office building. He lived around the Coleman area until his parents moved to Lockney, Texas when he was a Freshman in High School. He finished school in Lockney, and worked for a short time at a filling station until he found a sales job with England Wholesale in 1961. Stan met Lola Mae Tue in 1960 dragging the strip in Plainview and they dated for a couple of years. They married June 2, 1962, at Date Street Baptist Church in Plainview. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Leslie and Stacy. They shared their lives for 60+ wonderful years!!

Stan continued working for England's until it sold. He bought into a partnership and worked until he decided to sell out and go out on his own, starting a roofing business. Both of his children helped him in his new venture when they got old enough to work. In 1998, he decided to retire from the roofing business and turned the business over to Stacy and in exchange Stacy built him a car lot on his property. Stan was really proud of his car lot and was in the car business for 25 years. He could never sit still so this was right up his alley.

Stan's other interests were watching football, yea Dallas, and he joined Plainview's J.C's, where he was a member for 8 years. These were very important years for him, and he remained a member until he aged out of the organization. But, his most important interest was traveling with his family, he was always beside himself with joy on the family vacations. He got to see most of the USA!

The more the family grew, the more fun and love there was. He was most happy when surrounded by all of his family. He had the biggest heart and the biggest smile out of anyone. He loved them all.

Stan will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lola and his family, which include his children: Leslie Baxter and husband David Baxter, and Stacy Miller and wife Julie Miller; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
