"J Dub" was born Aug. 13, 1980, in Ardmore, to Kenney Lee and Donna Kay Baker White. He passed away Sunday at his home in Tishomingo. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Baker; paternal grandparents, Dock and Thelma White; and aunt, Mary Ellen Ashbolt.
"J Dub" was raised in Healdton and graduated from Healdton High School in 1999. During school, he was very active in softball and played in the American Legion summer leagues. He was a graduate of Murray State College with an associates degree in Applied Science. During college, he was the assistant softball coach and attended the Softball World Series for Junior Colleges in Iowa. In addition, he coached Little League teams, wanting players to learn that winning is not everything.
Among his many achievements, "J Dub" was a volunteer fireman for eight years with the Tishomingo VFD. He was a member of the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association and attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Healdton. He was employed by Advance Care Medical Equipment.
Survivors include his parents, Healdton; grandmother, Betty Ward Baker, Ringling; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and many friends.
Bearers will be the Tishomingo Volunteer Fire department.
