Betty Christene Anderson, 83, of Batesville, departed this life on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her home in Batesville. She was born on July 22, 1939, to Herbert Wayne Johnson and Bessie May Allen Johnson.

She and Jennings (Andy) Anderson were married in 1957 and enjoyed over fifty years of marriage until he died in 2011.

During her working years, she was a typesetter and worked at the Batesville Guard and Riverside Graphics. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. She attended church for over thirty years and continued supporting her church when she was unable to attend.

Betty was constantly busy doing different things such as gardening, cooking, and traveling. She loved her family dearly and was looking forward to the birth of her fourth great-grandchild.

Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca (Nicholas) Brown, of Cave City, and Kristie (Al) Deloach, of Batesville; grandchildren, Landon, Megan, Jessica, and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Emma, and Fisher; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Terry Ann Anderson, and brothers, Mickey and Kirby Johnson.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Campground Cemetery in Bethesda with Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mark Anderson, Corky Anderson, Grant Anderson, Chris Foushee, Justin Keister, and Dub Johnson.
