Harvey "Lefty" E. Nolan Jr., 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023.

Harvey was born in Queens, NY to his parents, the late Harvey E. Nolan Sr. and Lillian M. (Shephard) Nolan.

He was a graduate of Draper High School and went on to serve in the US Air Force from 1958-1961.

Harvey worked for many years at the Watervliet Arsenal. Upon retirement, he went to work as a school bus driver for the Schalmont School District, a job which he loved, and Dog Warden for the town of Duanesburg.

Harvey was a talented and passionate guitar player, lovingly referred to as "Lefty." He could often be found playing open mic nights throughout the area. He also enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially target shooting, the races at Fonda Speedway, fishing and watching his grandkids little league games.

Harvey had a home in Florida which he often visited with his partner, Barb. They also spent many wonderful days camping on Sacandaga Lake.

Harvey was the type of person who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family.

Harvey leaves behind his sons, Joseph Nolan, Dennis Nolan and Daniel Nolan (Anne); his partner in crime, Barbara Wilcox as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Harvey was predeceased by his wife, Jane (Hayden) Nolan.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home and will be followed by interment with military honors at Grove Cemetery, Delanson.

Because of Harvey's love of animals, please consider donations in his name to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
