Melvina is the daughter of James Andrew McDonald Fate Bane and Paralee Elizabeth Fite. She was born in Tennesse.

Melvina Bane married Rufus Thomas Jackson "Tom" DUNNAHOE May 12, 1873 in Dallas County, Arkansas.
