Contributor Charlene Patton tells me that "Ruth's name was Bridget Ruth Hosmer at birth but they dropped the Bridget. Nowhere do I see her name as Bridget Abigail or Abigail Bridget or Abigail Ruth. Ruth's mother was Abigail Wood Hosmer. This could be where the mistake comes from."
