Jewell Sullivan, 86 of Aiken, SC, formerly of Lavalette, WV passed away at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center in Aiken, SC. She was born in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of Ulysses Grant and Lillie Jeffrey Parsons. Jewell was a retired custodian for the Wayne County Board of Education. Her husband, Jay Sullivan also preceded her in death, along with two daughters, Lillie Bartram and Brenda Williamson; a son, Raymond Sullivan; and two brothers, Lonnie and Lacy Parsons. Survivors include three foster daughters, Patricia Powers of Huntington, WV, Rena Blake and husband, John of Huntington, WV, Dina Johnson and husband, Phil of Knoxville, TN; a foster son, Grason Abbott and wife, Suzanne of Aiken, SC; a sister, Lottie Ruth Lockhart and husband, Arnold; six brothers, Otis Parsons and wife, Lucille, Atis Parsons and wife, Eunice, G. Grant Parsons and wife, Phyllis, Edward Elmer Parsons and wife, Joyce, Charles Samuel Parsons, all of West Virginia, and Freeland Parsons and wife, Helen of Hewitt, TX; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
