Barry graduated from Altoona High School in 1965, served two years in the US Navy, and
studied at Indiana University of PA and Manahath School of Theology. Barry loved sports,
particularly basketball. He worked at Sky Bros. and then was an independent sales consultant
for Renaissance Nutrition for 30 years. He truly loved serving his many farming families. He was
a teaching elder at Christ Community Church, preached weekly, and dearly loved his brothers
and sisters in the faith.
His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and many friends, encouraging others, and sharing the greatness of God, the new life in the Spirit, and the promise of salvation, unconditionally offered through a living faith in Jesus.
Family and friends will be received from 12-3 on Saturday, April 8 at Frankstown Park Missionary Church, Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will follow at 3PM. A private interment will be made at Alto-Reste Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Community Church, 1225 Madison Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
