Born in Scranton, son of the late William R. and Edythe Bredbenner Jenkins, he was educated in Scranton public schools and was of the Protestant faith. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Wallace Murray Corp. as an inspector.
He was an advocate and regular donor of blood and was proud to have donated more than 10 gallons.
He was also preceded in death by a son, William C., who died Feb. 16; a brother, Emerson R. Jenkins; and three sisters, Edythe Ollino, Ann Hawthorn and Jane Neerman.
