Popular Mercer County Citizen Had Been Ill in Bed For Past Few Months; Funeral Set for Monday.
Felix Shelton Hill, 81, pioneer resident of Mercer County, died Saturday afternoon, December 10, 1927 at his home near Bramwell. Mr. Hill had been active until about a year ago when his condition began to fail. He had been bedfast for the past three months.
Born December 6, 1846, the deceased man was a native of Ashe County, N.C. In September 1870, he was united in marriage with Miss Nancy Ellen Dixon, also of N.C.
Seven children survive: Booker Jones, Jesse Franklin, Wiley McMillon Hill all of Bramwell; John Walter Hill of Roanoke; Mrs. A.D. (Cora Hill) Rice of Princeton, Misses Sessie and Nora Hill, both of Bramwell.
Mr. Hill is survived by one sister, Mrs. William Silas (Mary Jane) Perdue.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home and interment will be made in the family burial ground-the Hill Cemetery
