BETTY ROZELLE (SECHLER) NALL

Betty Rozelle (Sechler) Nall, known as Rosie to all of us who knew and loved her, was born December 7, 1935 to Thaddeus and Opal Sechler in Boise City, Oklahoma. She passed this world to meet her savior March 7, 2008 at BSA Hospice in Amarillo, Texas.

Rosie was born, raised and lived her adult life in Boise City, touching many, many people along her way. Always fun-loving and one to be in the middle of things, she was involved in the community in several different ways. Just a few of her volunteer activities included Eta Alpha service Sorority, Board of Directors of Yucca Council for Girl Scouts of America, Board of Directors of Soutar Memorial Library, and Cimarron County Election volunteer. Through the years she worked in the Cimarron County Court Clerk's office, was secretary of the Boise City Chamber of Commerce, and the Style Shoppe.

Rosie left Boise City for college, but was only able to attend one semester at Oklahoma Panhandle A & M before returning to care for her ailing mother. After her mother's death, Rosie chose to stay in Boise City so that life could lead her to George. On August 10, 1958 she and George Nall married three months after the begining their courtship and began their journey of 49 years together. Their family grew as they added two daughters to the home, Stephanie Ann and Karen Paige. She devoted her life to her girls and was their number one supporter and help in all their interests and activities as they grew.

Her family continued to grow as she welcomed sons-in-law. In 1983 the first of her four grand children was born and she became known as Gram. She adored Tabron, Tyler, Sydney and Trey and was a precious Gram to each of them, becoming their number one supporter and fan. As her illness progressed and she was unable to go and follow them, she always wanted to hear about all the details of their endeavors.

Friends were extremely important to Rosie and she always felt as though she had the best friends life could offer. She always tried to be a good friend also. Her very best friend was her precious sister, Bernita. Their relationship was a very unique and inspiring one.

Rosie was preceded in death by the parents, Opal Scechler and Thaddeus Sechler, brothers, Raymond, Keith, Sam, and Blaine Sechler, and her sister Bernita Callahan.

She was survived by her husband George of the home, daughters, Stephanie Holloway and husband Stanley of Canyon, Texas, Paige Erickson and husband Chuck of Guymon, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, 1st Lieutenant Tabron Holloway, Tacoma, Washington, Tyler Holloway, Lubbock, Texas, Trey Holloway of Canyon, Texas, Sydney Barns, Cary, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10:30am at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Boise City, Oklahoma with Ordean Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Boise City Cemetery, Boise City, Oklahoma. The family has suggested memorials to either the Cimarron Senior Citizens Center, Boise City or the BSA Hospice, Amarillo, Texas.
