Schneider, of Lavington, who passed away at the advanced age of 78 years after a short illness, Deceased was born In Germany and came to Albury when 14 yearn of age, He has been for nearly 60 years in Albury district. Originally following the pursuit of gold mining the 'gold fever' possessed him throughout his long life, and he spent much time and money in looking for gold in the 'Black Range.' By occupation he was a blacksmith, As previously reported, he was twice married. By the first wife the issue consisted of Mr. S. Schneider ( Junee); Mr. H. Schneider (New England District); Mrs. Eva Baker (Goulburn); Mrs, Kate Ottey (Temora) and Mrs. Llzzie Schubach (Nowtown, Albury), His second wife survives him, and members of her family are Mr. Con Schneider and Mr. L Schneider (Albury) Misses Annie and Helena Schneider ( Lavington ) and Mr. Herbert Schneider (Corryong), Mr. O. Schneider, of Albury is a brother.
