Louis Lino was the youngest of six children born to Luigi (Louis) Rossi and his wife Maria Teresa Loreta Sonognini, both Swiss Italian immigrants.
He was later adopted by Paul Armoletti and his family in Paso Robles, as the Rossi family could not afford to raise this child.
Louis enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 11, 1945 and he was discharged on August 14, 1946.
He died from cancer at only 24 years of age.
