DECEMBER 26, 1953 – MARCH 20, 2023

Marcus went home to the Lord on March 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dallas, Texas on December 26, 1953, to Hubert Junior and Margie Elizabeth (King) Echart. Soon Marcus was blessed to meet the love of his life in Deborah, who he married on May 27, 1977, and shared 45 wonderful years together. Throughout his life, Marcus liked to spend time outdoors and in the mountains. He loved to bar-b-que and spend time with his family that he was very proud of. Marcus was a long time member of Living for the Brand Cowboy Church in Athens and recently with RC2 Cowboy Church in Mabank. Marcus was the kind of person who never met a stranger. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and he was very active in the Masonic Lodge. Marcus coordinated blood drives and other events to support Henderson County Crisis Center and Scottish Rite Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents, HJ and Margie Echart; brother, Johnny Echart; sister-in-law, Mary Echart; and brother-in-law, Bryan Adams.

Marcus is survived by his caring wife, Deborah "Dae" Echart; son, Joshua Echart and wife, Bridget; daughter, Jamie Fawns and husband, Jason; grandchildren: Kailey, Bekkah, Trinity, Cody, Haylie, Dylan, Easton, Maggie; brother, Billy Echart; mother-in-law, Yvonne "Dutch" Adams; sisters-in-law: Sue Johnson, Ruth Wilcox and husband, Glenn; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
