Mrs. Kathleen Conner MINER, "Granny", age 70, of Yulee, FL passed away on Friday morning, February 22, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center-Nassau after a long courageous battle with lung disease. A lifelong resident of Nassau County, she was born to the late John L. and Minnie Rowe Conner. Mrs. Miner was a graduate of Yulee High School the Class of 1955 and in the 1970's had been employed as Office Administrator and Secretary to the Sheriff of Nassau County. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, her oldest brother, Marion Conner and a grandson, Ricky Miner. She leaves behind to mourn her husband of 52 years, Richard H. Miner, a son, Richard D. Miner, Four daughters: Cindy M. Evans and her husband Cliff, Teresa M. Brown and her fiance Robert Burch, Karen M. Hagins all of Yulee, FL and Kathy M. Buffkin and her husband Tim, Jacksonville, FL. Three brothers: John Conner, Fernandina Beach, FL Oliver Conner, CT Cecil Conner, Hilliard, FL; Three sisters: Merrylene C. Green and Lynn C. Boyles both of Yulee, Libby C. Wells, St. Mary's, GA. Grandchildren: Steven, John and Bobby Miner, Jeremy, David, and Shawn Johnson, Jennifer, Jaclyn and Jordyn Brown, Cole and Connor Buffkin, Ryan and David Hagins, Ralph and Kyle Ellison, Joseph Landrum; Great grandchildren: Hailey Miner and Asher Bryant who is due to arrive in April and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at 11:00 am, on Monday at Blackrock Baptist Church with Reverend Frank Camarotti, Reverend Mike Kwiatkowski and Chaplain Jim Tippins, officiating. Pallbearers were Mrs. Miner's grandsons.

Mrs. Miner was the primary care giver to so many friends and her family members. If one of her loved ones needed help, she was there for them. In her spare time, she enjoyed Jeopardy and other puzzle games or just being with her family.
