He was born Feb. 11, 1939, in Springdale, Ark.
He retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department Patrol No. 2 in Portales.
Survivors include his wife Rose; three daughters, Kerri Lamb, Kristine Baker, Andrea Abercrombie; and son, Jerry Baker Jr.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Sumner. Burial will be at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
