Mrs. C.W. Hatch.
Mrs. C.W. Hatch died in Augusta February 11th, 1908. The funeral was conducted from the residence Wednesday afternoon by Rev. W.W. Enyeart of the M.E. church.
Miss Mary Clouse was born in Otsego, N.Y., September 13, 1829. She was married to Jarvis McIntyre September 4, 1843, who died March 25, 1863. She was married to Dr. C.W. Hatch, June 13, 1871. To the union with Mr. McIntyre eight children were born, six of whom survive her. Three of the children, Mrs. Rose Smock, Mrs. Isabelle Clippinger and Mrs. Sarah E. Hathaway reside in Augusta and with the husband were present at the time of her death. The other children reside in Iowa and Wisconsin.
Dr. and Mrs. C.W. Hatch resided in Augusta for several years during the seventies and early eighties. For a time after that they were residents of other states, returning to Augusta about sixteen years ago and have since made their home here.
Mrs. Hatch had been a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. She was a devoted wife and mother.
