Ernest Hartman Rites Thursday
Funeral services for Ernest L. Hartman, 85, of Arendtsville, who died Monday morning at 5 o'clock at the home of a son, Herman G. Hartman, in Rockville, Md., will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Monahan Funeral Home, Carlisle St.
His pastor, the Rev. Robert M. Lezenby, will officiate at the services, and the interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
A native of Adams County, and a son of the late Geroge R. and Sue K. (Eicholtz) Hartman, the deceased was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Arendtsville, and of the Men's Bible Class of that church. He was a fruit grower and farmer all of his life. He had resided in Arendtsville area until the last year when he had gone to live with his son at 125 S. Van Buren St. in Rockville. His wife, the former Ethel Wolford, died in 1957.
Surviving in addition to the son are three grandchildren; these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ada Bream, Biglerville; Harry Hartman, Bethlehem; Mrs. Alma Howe, Biglerville; Mrs. Bertha Walter, Arendtsville, and Robert Hartman, Biglerville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
