Dewayne Edwin Butcher, 69, died at his home here Friday, April 11.
He was born in Blue Ridge, Mo., on March 6, 1900.
Services were held Monday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at the Berthusen Funeral Home in Avoca. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery with the Rev. LaVerne Kiel officiating.
Survivors include: widow, Lucy; four sons, Larry of Avoca, Eugene stationed with the Army in Vietnam, Edwin of Omaha and John of Paola, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Joel (Helen) Flug of Newton, Mrs. Kenneth (Eva) Frazier of Des Moines, Mrs. Marvin (Linda) Strong of Carson and Miss Dorothy at home; a half brother, Ben Shaver of California and 13 grandchildren.
