Catherine will be greatly missed by her daughters, Chris Campbell, Concord, NC and Cathy Slyman, Portland, OR; son, David Atchison, of Cambridge. She also leaves behind two sisters, Mary Margaret Gummere, New Concord, Rosie James, Ocala, FL and brother, Danny Robin, Ocala, FL.; 9 grandchildren, Josh Fisher, DeShaun Anderson, Dominic Anderson, Clay Slyman, Claire Slyman, Alice Slyman, Brittanie Atchison, Jerrod Atchison, and Davey Atchison; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Catherine had many friends but had two lifelong friends, Karen Whitis and Joann Blair.
Catherine graduated from St. Benedict's High School in 1961. She worked for many years as a front office assistant at the Cherry Tire Company. Before that she worked at NCR and Chal's Restaurant. Catherine attended St. Benedicts Catholic Church as a youth and then First United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading and crocheting and she loved spending time with her family.
