Beula Myers, Spring Valley, dies at 73

SPRING VALLEY - Beula "Tootie" Myers, 73, of Spring Valley died Friday morning (Jan. 24, 1992) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Born Tootie Johnson on Dec. 4, 1918, in Etna, Minn., she married Valdie "Bud" Myers on April 4, 1936, in Chester, Iowa. They lived in Grand Meadow and Le Roy areas before moving to Rochester in 1956. They retired in 1975 and moved to Kellogg. They came to Spring Valley in 1988 and moved into Spring Valley's Community Memorial Nursing Home in 1990.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Glenn of Babbit, Minn., and Jerry of Spring Valley; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Olive Lenz of Ostrander. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in Cherry Grove United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mark Rader officiating.

Spring burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Thauwald Funeral Home in Spring Valley from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services Monday.
