Abraham Francisco was a son of Johannis Hendricksz (John Henry) Francisco and Alida "Aeltje" DOREMUS. He marreid Hester VAN DER COOK 25 August, 1773 at the Reformed Dutch Church at The Half Moon, Saratoga Co., NY. They had ten children, all of whom survived to adulthood: Cornelia, Alida "Olive", Sarah Ann "Sally", Laventje "Lovina", Dr. John Alvin, Michael A., Hester, Elizabeth, Henry A. and Clarissa "Clary". In the Revolutionary War, Abraham served as a Private in the 14th Regiment of Albany Co. Militia (aka "Colonel Peter Yates' Regiment"). The identity of his grave has been preserved with the addition of a flat bronze VA marker. His original marker (which is still standing) reads:

In memory of
Abram Francisco
who departed this life
Feb. 11th, 1826 aged 75
years.
This flesh shall slumber
in the ground
Till the last trumpet's
joyful sound
Then burst the chains
in sweet surprise
And in his saviour's image rise.
