Sandra "Sandy" Kay Ashmore-Chavez, 60, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away in Estes Park, Colorado on Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was celebrating her 35th wedding anniversary with her husband John Chavez. Sandy was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Roland and Nita Ashmore. She had a younger sister, Cindy. She graduated from North High School, class of 1981. She graduated from Western Iowa Tech Community College. Besides her husband, Sandy is survived by her children Nick Hightree, Alissa Hightree Anderson, Ashlie Chavez and Nathan Chavez, and her grandchildren, her sister Cindy, and her mother Nita.
