Gary Don Sullivan, 71, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2023 at Arden Road Baptist Church, 6701 Arden Road, with Pastor Aaron Denson officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Gary was born December 7, 1951 in Amherst, Texas to Lee and Lavon Sullivan. He grew up in Morton, Texas, graduated from Morton High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Roberts Trucking as a diesel mechanic. He married his wife Corda on November 10, 2000. In his spare time, Gary was a talented horticulturist. He took a lot of pride in grafting and caring for his small orchard of pecan trees. He loved making candy at Christmastime. To know Gary was to know love. He was a soft-spoken man but was also quite ornery. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Virginia Sullivan; and a brother, Michael Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife Corda Sullivan; four sons, Brad Glover of Canyon, Dale Glover (Christie McDaniel) of Perryton, Ed Lienemann and Dwight Lienemann both of Nebraska; three daughters, Brenda Garcia of Canyon, Lori Schulte of Nebraska, and Paula Saunders (Thomas) of Amarillo; sisters, Shonie Castaneda (Phil) of Pharr, TX, the favorite, Pat Compton (Dan) of Crawford, TX, and Sandra Corriea (Lou) of Sacramento, CA; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
