ANNA [B.?] KRAFT (or KREFT; also once known as Augusta?) was born (14 September?) 1878 in Germany, the daughter of Valentin Kreft and Anna Wensora/Wensorra. She was a younger sister of Elizabeth Kraft Lipke Denka, and followed her lead in immigrating to Syracuse, New York.

At the age of 20 years Anna married Frederich W. Rexin, who was 22 at the time, in Germany circa October 1897. They would have (at least) 11 children, including twins. They brought the first six with them to America when they immigrated from "Gr. Lichtenow," Germany on the S.S. Zeeland, sailing from Antwerp and landing on 15 May 1906 at Ellis Island. Their younger children were born in Syracuse.

Anna was a German-speaking Catholic, a member of Assumption Church, and was known for her sweet disposition. She did laundry and worked as a "washerwoman" to help earn income. She lived in Syracuse for 52 years, most of it on the German North Side. After about 60 years of marriage Fred died in 1957 and Anna went to live with her daughter Agnes at 111 Landon Avenue in Syracuse.

Anna died on 10 October 1958 at Memorial Hospital after a short illness, when she was about 80 years old. She was survived by two more great-grandchildren born since her husband died the previous year. She was buried at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
