John Thomas "J.T." Putman, Jr., age 83, of Bessemer, passed away on August 1, 2006. Mr. Putman attended Caffee Junction Church of God and retired from US Steel with 30 plus years of service. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Funeral Services will be held at Brown Service Bessemer Chapel on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Roger Daniels, Rev. Hubert McGarety. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 02, 2006 from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. He is survived by: his wife, Camilla Putman of Bessemer; daughter, Delores (Michael) Wallace of Lakeview; grandsons, Shawn (Talitha) Wallace of Clanton, Kevin (Brittney) Wallace of Wilsonville; brother, Milford Putman of Oneonta. Brown Service Bessemer Chapel will be serving the Putman family
