Mary and John had 13 children. They are (not in order of birth):
1) John Lambert "Jr"; lived in Randolph County, NC for a time; John "Jr" is not John R. Lambert because John R. Lambert brings a lawsuit against John "Jr" and Jehu B. Lambert the administrators of John Sr's Will; at least one son named Robert.
2) Joab Lambert; married Polly Scotten on Dec 18, 1843 in Randolph County, NC; living in Guilford County, NC by 1858.
3) Eli Lambert; lived in Randolph County, NC.
4) Henry Lambert; married Sally Craven on Nov 6, 1827 in Randolph County, NC; per court papers regarding his father's Will and subsequent lawsuits he moved to Indiana and sometime later returned to NC.

6) Joseph Lambert; married Delila Craven on Feb 20, 1830 in Randolph County, NC; per court papers regarding his father's Will and subsequent lawsuits it was stated in papers dated March 1857 he was deceased; census records show his family was living in Madison County, TN in 1850; known children William B. Lambert, Franklin Lambert, and Joseph P. Lambert.
7) Daniel H. Lambert; married Sarah Dorsett on Apr 25, 1835 in Randolph County, NC; lived in Randolph County, NC.

9) Mary "Polly" Lambert; married 1st Mr. Bray, married 2nd Loyd Foushee on Jan 17, 1822 in Randolph County NC; no known children by her first marriage; Mary and Lloyd Foushee had 7 children – Joseph Parker Foushee, William Franklin Foushee, George W. Foushee, John Foushee, Elijah Thornton Foushee, Nancy Foushee, and Martha Foushee.
10) Sarah "Sally" Lambert; married Joshua Craven on Oct 10, 1810 in Randolph County, NC; 12 children – Solomon Craven, Henry Craven, Aaron Craven, Jane Craven, Polly Craven (wife of Mr. Melton - not sure of spelling), Patsy Craven (wife of William Henry Gilliland), Evelyn (wife of Francis Brown), Nancy Craven (wife of Page Brown), Sally Craven, Wincey Craven, John A. Craven, Jeremiah Craven.
11) Nancy Lambert; she predeceased her father; married Jacob Hobson on Aug 14, 1827 in Randolph County, NC; lived in Chatham County, NC; 4 children - Elvira Hobson (wife of Elwood Thompson), Polly Hobson, John Hobson, Joseph Hobson.
12) Martha Lambert; married Elijah W. Moffitt on Sept 13, 1836 in Randolph County, NC; moved to Tennessee and was living there by 1858.

Craven lived in Randolph Co, NC, Rosanna Craven (wife of John Brady) lived in Randolph Co, NC, Eli Craven moved to Illinois, Lucinda (wife of Mr Moon) lived in Randolph Co, NC, Lydia (wife of William Wesley Macon) lived in Randolph Co, NC.

Names of the children and heirs listed above and information pertaining to them are from the parent's Will and Estate papers.

John Lambert also owned hundreds of acres in Chatham County, NC, and owned a grist mill ("deed given to me from Henry Bray Sr, now deceased"). Grist Mill location unknown, assume Randolph or Chatham County NC.

John's Will is dated Sept 21, 1840 and he died in Oct 1840.
Mary died intestate but her Estate papers state she died in the "autumn of 1858".
It took from the time of John's death in 1840 to his wife Mary's death in 1858 plus another 10 years (1868) to finally resolve all the conditions of his Will and the many lawsuits between the children and heirs!

Several of the children of John and Mary Lambert died during this time (John Jr, Joseph, Jehu B., and Sarah).

NOTE: Others have written that John "Jr's" middle initial is R. That is positively incorrect since John R. Lambert brings several lawsuits against the administrators; John Jr and Jehu B. Lambert. Not sure who is John R. Lambert but suspect it is a grandson of John Sr.

NOTE – CLARIFICATION OF THIS JOHN AND MARY LAMBERT and JOHN WILLIAM AND PHIDA LAMBERT: Others have written and put in their family trees that this John Lambert "Sr" and his wife Mary are actually John William Lambert (1772-1860) and Phida Lambert (1770-1850).
They are positively not.
Their Find A Grave memorial ID #s are 95496411 and 237640334. While they may be a John and Phida Lambert, they are not the parents of any of the children listed above. There are extensive Estate papers, lawsuits over 26 years, and John "Sr's" Will which positively refute that. Second, the death dates are mentioned several times in all these court papers and those don't align with the death dates of John William and Phida Lambert. Additionally, all the court papers specifically mention all items to be divided equally among the children is to be 1/13th, thereby giving credence to the 13 children and/or their heirs named in the Will and Estate papers, and no others. Last but not least is the overwhelming information in Henry B. Bray's Will dated 1812. In it he specifically mentions John Lambert owning half the grist mill with him, and his daughter Mary (Bray) Lambert his wife. In John Lambert's Will dated Sept 21, 1840 he also mention's Henry Bray's grist mill. So, both these men specifically mention each other and their jointly owned grist mill in their Wills.
The other John William Lambert and wife Phida are not the same people in this memorial. Phida is not Mary Bray or any Bray or even a Mary for that matter.
I am not sure if John William Lambert and his wife Phida Lambert are related or not to this John Lambert "Sr" and his wife Mary Bray. Maybe they are and maybe they aren't. I have not seen any documentation/proof yet.
BTW, John William and Phida Lambert's known children are; John William Lambert Jr born abt 1804 and married Piety, and Frederick Lambert born abt 1800. Some others have said he had another son named John Quincy Lambert and his wife Mary Almond. This is actually a grandson (child of John Jr).

** According to my Grandfather Foushee, it was customary for the wealthy and large land owner Foushee's (the Gentlemen) to be buried on their property in family plots vs in a cemetery. Properties eventually changed hands and new owners did not respect the family plots and the graves have been lost to time.
